Community Missions was founded in 1925 as a result of the Billy Sunday revival meetings held in 1923 in downtown Niagara Falls. Our roots have been firmly fixed in the Gospel message that we are called to serve. Our focus has always been on helping individuals and families who are struggling to meet their daily needs. We also believe that to serve the whole person, we need to provide opportunities for individuals to grow in the spiritual tradition of their choice. Community Missions is also part of a broader faith community, and our commitment to serve reaches there as well. Our mission and ministry then, is truly to serve the whole community. To meet our aim of nurturing and supporting spiritual wholeness of those we serve and our staff, our services are integrated into all CMI program areas. In all our efforts, we seek to create voluntary, meaningful opportunities and partnerships that will enable CMI and those with whom we partner to follow the call of Christ to serve the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. Please take some time to explore these pages to learn how we can engage in ministry together. If you would like to have the Mission come and do a presentation to your church or ministry group, we would be pleased to do so. Just contact us and we will work with you to see what kind of presentation best meets your needs.
