Press Release – 4th Annual Summer Sizzler 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 4TH ANNUAL SUMMER SIZZLER TO BENEFIT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN CRISIS THURSDAY, JUNE 16, 2012

Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, Inc. will host its 4th Annual Summer Sizzler on Thursday, June 16th, 2012, beginning at 4 p.m. This annual event takes place to increase awareness and funding for families and individuals who are need crisis and community services and reside in Niagara. The Alps Catering and Lewiston Fire Hall #2, located at 1705 Saunders Settlement Rd., Niagara Falls, New York 14304 have partnered with Community Missions to make this event, “sizzlin.”

Community Missions, Inc. (CMI) is a human service, non-profit organization which serves marginalized populations, who reside within Niagara County. Community Missions was founded in 1925 and has been providing the basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter, since its inception. Serving 71,159 meals in 2011 and providing over 8,500 nights of care to families and individuals in need, Community Missions has experienced an increase of nearly 20% over 2010 in the use of Crisis and Community Services. The Summer Sizzler will benefit Crisis and Community Service Programs including, the Homeless Shelter, Community Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Parole Re-Entry Programs and Mark’s Place (residence for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.)

The dinners at the Summer Sizzler are provided eat-in or take out. A half of a chicken with two sides and roll is $10 per dinner and Ribs with two sides and roll is $12 each, eat-in or take-out. -

2.) Make Checks Payable to Community Missions - Mail to: 1570 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14303 And indicate # Chicken/Rib Dinners in the Subject Line. -

3.) Online at: www.communitymissions.org and pay with Credit Card or Pay Pal. Come and have a chicken or rib dinner, take part in a 50/50 drawing and support those who are less fortunate residing in our neighborhoods.
