A Night of Memories and Meaning

THEME BASKET AUCTION
On February 11, 2011, Community Missions hosted its first signature event of the New Year; The 14th Annual Sweetheart Dinner and Auction. The event began at 6 p.m. and dinner came shortly after. In the interim, those in attendance began their trek of the basket auction. There was everything from baskets for your pooch to baskets of wine and chocolates. There were some baskets themed to include things “he” would like and also things “she” would like, including two different Coach Purses. The night included not only baskets but also, Live, Lottery and Silent Auction, Door Prizes and Wine Tasting. Needless to say, it was a night to remember. Friends, family and those in love were all their to enjoy the festivities amidst helping Community Missions and those it serves.
The event and evening was success and then some. On the brink of selling out, with approximately 250 people in attendance, the 14th Annual Sweetheart Dinner and Auction raised approximately $11,000 in proceeds. This was in no doubt attributed to all of those involved. Special thanks goes out to all the volunteers who helped set up and run the event, each basket and certificate donor, the corporate sponsors and last but certainly not least, those who attended. The support and generosity of each person, group or business who participated, sponsored, donated and volunteered helped to make this event extremely successful and ultimately is helping Community Missions to continue to provide Crisis Services to those who are in need.
