On Friday October 27, 2017, Community Missions' REACH (Youth) Division will be available in the Community Kitchen to complete surveys with any homeless youth (under age 25) willing to participate in the Youth Point In Time Homelessness Survey.

This survey is being conducted all across Western New York, and is vital to ensure these kids are counted and appropriate services and monies for assistance are made available. CMI is a partner with the Western New York Coalition for the Homeless, and is volunteering to be a participating provider of the survey this date.

For purposes of the survey, we are looking for youth (again, under age 25) who are living in shelters, "couch-surfing", living in a temporary placement, in transitional or independent living programs, living in a motel, in a car, tent, park, bus or train station or other public place.

We are asking for your help in several ways:

1.    Please copy this flyer and place it in areas/windows where youth can easily see it.

2.    Encourage consumers who fit the criterion to come to the Kitchen and participate on 10/27;

3.    Be knowledgeable about the survey being conducted, and inform other service providers in the County that we are a site location on that date;

4.    Take flyers with you to outside meetings you attend, and let providers know of the event;

5.    Encourage youth to participate online if they are unable to come to CMI.

Thanks so much!  Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Again, REACH staff will be available on 10/27 to complete the surveys.
