PINS Diversion Intensive Case Management

The PINS Diversion Intensive Case Management program (PINSD) is designed to provide service coordination, review and assist with school attendance, and support youth ages 10 – 17. This program also implements community-based interventions aiming to divert youth from further consequences within the juvenile justice system, as well as, the possibility of placement outside their home communities.

The Niagara County Probation Department prioritizes youth who reside within the Niagara Falls area and a secondary priority for Lockport, who are alleged or adjudicated as being Persons In Need of Supervision. Youth and families will receive a 90 day intensive program that can identify outside services and supports needed to empower them to return to a path of success and accomplishment. Aftercare linkages are provided beyond this period.

Referrals into the program are conducted by Niagara County Probation, who can be reached at 716-278-8241. For more information regarding PINSD, please contact Carly Lapp at 716-990-8156 or at
