Support Community Missions with a $90 for 90 Years Donation

November of 2015 marks Community Missions' 90th Anniversary. We are thankful for all that God has done for us over those years, however, we are most thankful for having had the chance to serve God during that time! We see it as a blessing to be able to be the hands and feet of Christ as we work help our neighbors in need.

To help us celebrate, we invite your church to join us in prayer each Sunday through the end of 2015, as The Mission offers thanks and praise to God for having been blessed to do God's work in the world for the past 90 years. From the seeds planted by Evangelist Billy Sunday in 1923, to our founding in 1925, and up to the present day, the Holy Spirit has guided us to grow in the compassion of Christ. Community Missions now is the oldest, continuous ministry in Niagara County that provides shelter for those in crisis.

Each week, beginning November 3rd, we will post a new prayer that you can use as part of your worship service. Please join us as we thank God for the chance to serve.

First time prayer is offered in your worship, the leader can introduce the moment of prayer this way:

Many of you may know about Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, but if you do not, let me briefly tell you about them.

Community Missions is located in Niagara Falls, NY. Since 1925 they have been providing emergency housing and other services for those who are in need. They are the oldest, continuous ministry in Niagara County that provides shelter for those in crisis. This year is their 90th Anniversary!

Today, they provide crisis housing, food for the hungry and clothing for those in need. They also help those released from prison as they re-enter society and those struggling with HIV/AIDS. The also provide residential and community based services for adults living with mental illness, as well as residential and community based services for at-risk youth.

As part of their $90 for 90 Years Celebration, Community Missions has made a special request that churches celebrate with them by joining them in prayer each Sunday through the end of the year to give praise and thanks to God for having been blessed to serve God by serving those in need.  Today is our first day celebrating with them in prayer.

It is with joy that we take up the challenge to support those who have served their earthly debt for their transgressions against their neighbors. We thank you for the chance to assist those men and women who have left prison and now seek to re-enter the community. We rejoice to stand with them as Community Missions rejoices and helps them overcome the judgment and fear that makes it so hard to rebuild their lives. Help us and Community Missions to continue your work so that the paths before those released from prison are made strait and filled with your righteousness and love. Amen.
