Religious & Spiritual Development
As part of Community Missions' commitment to providing support to the whole person, we provide opportunities to assist individuals in their own journey of faith. Across all of our program areas and services, we seek the guidance of our clients through a simple Faith and Spirituality Assessment tool. This tool helps us learn if our clients wish to include religious & spiritual development as part their service planning, and if so, tells us how we can help create or find appropriate opportunities for their needs.
These opportunities can include things such as bible studies, group or individual spiritual direction sessions, fellowship events, community ministry opportunities, and connections to community churches, places of worship and faith-based organizations. Our full-time Agency Minister maintains regular open office hours, as well as being available by appointment, to provide basic pastoral care services and beginning spiritual direction to individuals served or employed in CMI programs. Services are provided in the faith tradition of the individual's choice.
Our commitment to religious and spiritual development does not stop at our doors. We know that the many churches and ministries of all faiths throughout our community have the same commitment for their institutions, their members, and the individuals and families they serve. An important aspect of providing for the spiritual and religious needs of those the Mission serves is the linkages and Faith-Based Partnerships we build with the local faith community.
If your church or faith-based organization is interested in beginning a partnership with us to help serve the spiritual and religious needs of our clients, please contact us today to start a conversation about how you can get involved.By The Numbers...
