Program: Community & Crisis Services

General Overview: To provide emergency shelter services to Crisis Services, Respite, Parole Re-Entry, Community Based Residential Program and Specialized Community Offenders Program clients including intakes, discharges, housing linkages and referrals. Overseeing the Front Desk Reception area, this includes phones, deliveries and donations.

  1. Monitor Front Desk/Lobby area.  Maintain Front Desk Log, answer phone, record messages, receive deliveries according for Front Desk procedures.  
  2. Receive and process Crisis Housing applicants, complete Intake process and do Discharges as needed.
  3. Check Front Desk Log book for special instructions.
  4. Monitor resident behavior/interactions and log observations.
  5. Distribute and document medication to clients following Crisis/Respite procedure.
  6. Know emergency procedures and respond in a calm manner.  Contact On-Call staff as indicated.
  7. Enforce established Crisis Services rules.
  8. Attend meetings and in-service training as required.
  9. Perform all above duties and responsibilities according to Crisis Services Policies and Procedures including all required documentation.
  10. Understand that you are prohibited from performing treatment or formal counseling.
  11. Treat all client information and CMI communications in a confidential manner.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by Community/Crisis Services Manager.

Qualifications: High School required, 2 years college in Human Services studies, or related field preferred. Current Red Cross First Aide Card and valid driver's license required. One year in Human Services or related field preferred.

Accountable To: Specialized Housing Manager

Salary Range: $13.50 hourly or higher, based on education and experience

Hours: Part Time

Grade Level: 1
